Free Range Games grows games the old fashioned way: we don’t put our team in cages, we work distributedly, and we don’t use toxic work/life trade-offs. Some of our crafters have worked together from PS1 to PS5 and will tell you about carving games one triangle at a time from punch cards.
We are some of the folk behind Spider-man, Tony Hawk, Lord of the Rings, Twitch Sings, Oddworld, Callisto Protocol, Shrek Super Slam, and dozens of mobile and web games. We believe every member of the team has a voice in what the game should be.

Responsibilities
● Oversee one or more cross-discipline feature teams
● Establish and maintain the team’s scope and capacity on a daily basis
● Manage resource requirements, establish dependencies and balance priorities
● Partner with Product Owners to establish feature goals and deliver features on time
● Partner with a technical and creative leadership team to ensure project vision, deliverables
and goals are met
● Proactive risk management and tracking with a keen eye for when escalation is needed
● Establish and maintain regular communication channels with other feature teams and
coordinate dependencies with stakeholders
● Manage scope and quality, proactively assess and mitigate risk
● Manage task tracking in Jira and organizational oversight of asset lists
● Record meeting notes when needed and translate them into a coherent, organized recap and
list of action items
Requirements
● Minimum of 2 years experience in a producer role
● Fundamental understanding of game development cycle from pre-production to release
● Passion and enthusiasm for games and game development
● Experience in various project management methodologies such as Agile and Predictive
Project Management
● Effective communication skills across all levels and disciplines
● Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic and collaborative team environment
● Excellent verbal and written skills
Pluses
● Demonstrated ability to monitor project goals and course correct/communicate when things go
off track
● Experience in creating and maintaining a positive team culture with a “people first” attitude
● University degree or equivalent professional experience
● Experience in cross-platform development environments
● Experience with AzureDevOps, Hansoft, JIRA, or other project management software tools
● Experience with Unreal Engine
● Experience with Open World games
● Experience with shipping AAA on modern consoles
● Lean/Agile certifications
● Experience managing live operations games
● Strong ability to drive process change and improvement
