Role Overview
As a Lead Environment Concept Artist at Tripledot Studios, you'll be instrumental in creating immersive and engaging environments for our players. Your artistic vision and leadership will shape the look and feel of our games, contributing to an exceptional gaming experience enjoyed by millions worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of concept artists, fostering a creative and collaborative environment.
- Conceptualize, design, and create stunning game environments concept that enhance gameplay and drive the narrative.
- Collaborate with 3D and 2D artists, narrative, cutscene, designers, tech art, developers, and other artists to create a cohesive aesthetic across all game assets.
- Work with production to provide accurate estimates and define contingency as needed.
- Manage team tasks to ensure the team progress and delivery are on time.
- Ensure art assets are of high quality and optimized for performance.
- Provide feedback and direction to team members, supporting their artistic
and professional growth. - Conduct art reviews with team and provide constructive feedback, along with feedback of art director.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- At least 5 years of experience as an Environmental Artist in the gaming industry, with a portfolio showcasing your skills and creativity OR equivalent skillset and managerial experience.
- A keen eye for composition, color, and lighting, with a strong understanding of environmental design principles.
- Leadership experience with a focus on team building and fostering a positive work environment.
- Proficiency in 3D software such as Maya, Blender, or 3DS Max is a plus
- Knowledge of Unity3D is a plus.
