We're looking for an enthusiastic Junior Game Designer to help shape the future of our strategy games at Bytro Games. In this role, you will assist in developing innovative game features and content, create detailed design documentation, and refine game maps to enhance player engagement. You’ll collaborate closely with our game team to explore and implement new ideas, ensuring alignment with the overarching game theme and narrative. - Analyze, improve and refine the design and balance of our maps (levels) using our proprietary engine tools to fulfill gameplay needs.
- Develop a clear vision for the games in collaboration with cross-functional teams, aligning features and content with the overarching theme and narratives.
- Develop and participate in playtesting sessions and actively collect players’ feedback to identify and propose targeted improvements.
- Assist in the design, development, improvement and documentation of game features and content, focusing on player engagement.
- Develop and enhance in-game content, including maps, texts and configurations, with a focus player engagement.
- Propose and implement enhancements to existing content, working closely with game teams to ensure high quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with the game teams on the exploration of new features for our maps.
Your profile
- First work experience in a Game Design field
- Strong willingness to learn, cooperate and explore new technologies and tools
- Creativity in crafting visually appealing and engaging level designs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including artists and developers.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of strategy games and an eagerness to learn and adapt.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbally
- Bonus: Have interest or enthusiasm for historical events, particularly those from the 1st World War onward
