Engineering Manager - Frostbite - Content Framework

As an Engineering Manager, you will be a leader in the Content Framework team, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager of the Product Area. The Content Framework team works on building core systems for data management and game asset processing that make our tools responsive and stable for thousands of users editing millions of assets. The team belongs to the Production Systems domain that creates tools, frameworks, and services that EA’s content creators rely on to create and enhance EA’s games.
You will be part of a team that is passionate about working collaboratively across teams and building high quality tools.
Responsibilities
- Hire, coach, motivate, and foster the growth of engineering talent
- Help us build solid plans, monitor workload, and track the progress of commitments including features and performance measures
- Lead Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement) and enhance Agile development practices within the team
- You coach the team to increase collaboration, code quality and team health by implementing software development best practices
- Collaborate with Engineers, Technical Directors, Product Owners, Program Managers, Quality Designers, and other Engineering Managers across multiple worldwide locations
This is a hybrid role and you will be required to work in our Stockholm office 2 days per week
Required Skills and Experience
- 2+ years experience in a leadership role and managing software engineers as direct reports
- 3+ years of experience with C++ development and/or game development
- Experienced in agile development practices
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (computer science, computer engineering or mathematics)
- Knowledge or experience in game engine development
