Pragma is supporting healthy and vibrant online communities by creating a backend game engine— a platform of services and tools that enable game studios to launch live-service games.
You'll be joining a passionate, remote-first team (PT time zone) comprised of people that have scaled games such as League of Legends and Destiny 2 and many more games while at Riot, Bungie, PopCap, and EA. Team members have also scaled platforms at traditional tech companies including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, SendGrid and Tableau. About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Business Development professional to drive new business for Pragma. This person will play a key role in developing a business strategy with leadership, arranging business development meetings with prospective clients and fostering relationships for future business growth.
A Director of Business Development should be excited to work on and understand a highly technical product, able to effectively build and execute a strategy for sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients, be highly collaborative with product teams, and have a customer first mindset.
Responsibilities
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
- Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
Qualifications
- Experience selling technical tools or a technical background being preferred
- Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role for a technical product
- Proven sales track record
- Gaming market knowledge
- Communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build rapport
- Ability to speak to technical customers in their language.
- Ability to contribute at multiple scopes, from individual contribution to team management.
