As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role owning the data platform that powers the analytics for real-time multiplayer games, metagame systems, free-to-play economies, live-streaming platform and content creator performance. You will work closely with the data analysts to provide the teams with tools for data-informed decision making, better understanding of user behavior, and measuring product and creator performance.
We are looking for a person with the skills, experience, and passion for designing and developing scalable data pipelines, optimizing data models, and ensuring the efficient and reliable processing of data.
Noice has raised over $27 million from founders of game industry unicorns from Unity to Supercell, been developed for years in stealth mode and is now in Closed Beta. Our ambition is to grow Noice to tens of millions of users and tens of thousands of content creators within the next three years. You’ll have a key role in enabling that to happen.
We are a distributed company with most of our team based in Europe with hubs in Helsinki, Finland and London, UK. For this role, we welcome candidates within a couple of hours of travel from Helsinki. Work will be done both remotely and on-site in Helsinki - with an emphasis on remote work.

What you`ll be doing
- Taking ownership of designing and developing scalable and efficient data pipelines to ensure reliable processing and storage of data
- Optimizing data models and database performance to support data analytics and reporting needs
- Developing and bringing engineering best practices and tools for data analysts working across Noice
- Implementing data governance and security measures to ensure the privacy and integrity of data
- Working closely with the data analytics team to ensure the availability and quality of data for analysis and insights
- Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipeline issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on data processing
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering, and continuously improving our data infrastructure and processes
What we are looking for
- Solid experience and knowhow in data engineering, with a focus on building scalable and reliable data pipelines
- Strong understanding of database and data warehouse systems, data modeling, and SQL
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as GCP
- Experience with orchestration and scheduling, using tools such as Apache Airflow
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Go
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

- Experience working with DBT, our chosen tool for data transformations and processing
- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies
- Knowledge of data governance and privacy regulations
- Experience working with gaming or streaming platforms
