Electric Square Ireland is seeking an experienced Art Director to join them as a founding member and embark on an exciting new journey to building an exceptional art department from scratch. This role offers a great career challenge where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our projects from the ground up.

An Art Director at Electric Square Ireland-

• Takes a hands-on approach with any artwork the studio requires while working toward building a well-rounded and exceptional art team
• Complete understanding and alignment with clients on creative vision and art direction
• Works with Art Leads delivery and implementation throughout the game's whole lifecycle
• Comes from an art leadership background, able to lead by example in multiple areas and manage multiple teams
• Drives the development of skills and knowledge to support the game's vision and keep the team focused
• Builds strong client relationships representing the art department
• Collaborates with other Studio Directors in owning the aesthetic vision and core pillars for all projects in the studio
• Supports the art team's leadership to help organize, grow and guide artists across multiple disciplines and at various development levels
• Conducts regular one-to-ones to evaluate, align expectations and mentor artists at various development levels
• Reviews and verifies the art schedules for all projects in the studio and develops resource plans with studio management

Requirements

• 10+ years of game development experience
• Shipped at least 5+ commercial products of reasonable size
• Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of AAA art production techniques, processes, and technology
• Broad experience in multiple areas of games art development
• Superior level of expertise in art workflows, documentation, and team-wide communication
• Experience with running multiple teams
