Responsibilities

• Create high-quality rendered 3D game assets following the concept and art direction provided for core game features of an upcoming casual game.
• Make 3D assets ranging from characters, backgrounds, props, game board objects, reward containers, etc.
• Raise the bar and add your own touch to the provided concepts, when converting them into 3D assets. In some cases, the provided concepts might be pretty loose, and you would need to research and visualize on your end to create the key assets.
• Collaborate with the game art team to deliver in-game events, promotions, core game features, and any needed gameplay improvements.
• Receive feedback and requests from art leads, team members, and other stakeholders, and implement necessary adjustments to the art assets produced.
• Research about the market trends, study competition and other games in the genre, and propose ideas which are fresh, and could be highly-benchmarked and fun for the players to experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in working for games (preferably casual mobile games).
• Strong 3D skills in Blender, or open and switch to learn Blender (if currently proficient in any other 3D program). Any drawing/painting skills are a plus.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, to be able to prepare the completed assets for animators or UI artists to continue with.
• Excellent sense of volumetric design, color theory, composition, readability, and other game art aesthetics.
• Ability to interpret, follow, and evolve the game’s visual style.
• Culture fit to a team with shared passion for making great games and motivation for artistic growth in a fun and friendly artistic environment.
